“The time I realised the significance of having a value stack, I immediately placed it on the top shelf”. Things have changed for me since then.
We have been talking about the importance of doing a self SWOT analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities & Threats) but I think having a personal value stack is even more crucial for living a life that is stress-free, full of clarity, confidence & contentment.
Defining our value stack is like drawing a boundary, laying a foundation, setting rules that shall ultimately guide us during challenging & confusing times. It refrains us from unknowingly getting into the act of self-sabotage.
When you clearly know what you stand for, which values you resonate with, what can give you inner contentment, what can add meaning to your existence, you automatically start curating your choices & decisions.
We have been talking about the importance of doing a self SWOT analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities & Threats) but I think having a personal value stack is even more crucial for living a life that is stress-free, full of clarity, confidence & contentment.
No matter how shiny the object is, your value stack will determine whether to go for it or not. No matter how lucrative the situation is, your stack will decide a direction for you, and yes, decisions taken from this level of awareness shall always prove to be the best.
My life stands strong on 5 values, they are:
- Conscious living
- Authenticity
- Growth
- Giving Value
- Contribution
These 5 values are my foundational pillars for living a stress-free, confident & content life.
Anything & everything that resonates with these values, shall be a YES for me. For instance, no matter how lucrative the offer is but if I’m required to be manipulative or compromise my authenticity, then I’ll turn that offer down. These kind of decisions shall ultimately strengthen my self-concept & boost my self-esteem.
