We are in constant pursuit of ‘Happiness’, aren’t we?
We do what we do to ultimately derive happiness, don’t we?
In one of my reflections, I came across this thought that, happiness is not to be found, it is to be weaved, yes, I’m deliberately using that term ‘weaved’.
If we start grabbing all those tiny moments of joy, those are present in our day-to-day life (but unfortunately we ignore them) we can bring them together & weave happiness.
Moments like:
1) Consciously take your first breath in the morning when you wake up with a feeling of gratitude.
2) Having your favorite beverage/breakfast & acknowledging the fact that you are lucky enough to have it.
3) Acknowledging the presence of your loved ones around you & being grateful for the fact that they genuinely care for you.
4) Acknowledging the fact that you are enjoying multiple facilities & privileges which many others are not able to.
The list can go on and on… I’m sure even you can think of many moments of gratitude & joy in your everyday life.
But the question is, are we aware of them? Are we acknowledging them? Are we grateful for them?
Making a conscious effort to identify, acknowledge & be grateful for all the available tiny moments of joy can literally elevate our happiness base line, ultimately shifting our focus from pain to pleasure & making us happier human beings.
Let’s consciously make this choice of weaving our happiness.
I came across this sentence during my reflection & I choose to share it with you,
“Moments of joy are the threads used to weave a carpet of happiness”.
